100 different ways of using ChatGPT/GenAI
Harvard Business Review searched the net for how people are using GenAI
Only 10% of the world’s knowledge workers use ChatGPT regularly. This is far too low and the two reasons for that are, 1) people have tried ChatGPT3.5 (the free version) which is not very good, and 2) most of them can’t think of where and how to use it.
I wrote about the first problem yesterday, and today, it is time to work on the second.
The author of this report, published in Harvard Business Review searched all over the internet (Reddit, Quora, etc) for interesting ways in which people are using GenAI and created this lovely list:
I suggest:
Go through this list carefully and highlight the tasks that you think ChatGPT/Claude3/Gemini can help you with. Start doing those right away. As many as possible. (Read the report for more details on how and why people use GenAI for these tasks.)
Every month, revisit this list: as you get comfortable using GenAI in your work, you’ll find yourself delegating more and more tasks from this list to AI
I’ll leave you with these two quotes from the report:
“People that don’t find it useful, simply haven’t really understood how to use it.”
and
“The 5% or whatever who use it effectively are going to smoke the others.”
