Include images in your ChatGPT conversations
Text can do quite a lot if it is connected to the internet
Update 11-May-2023: ChatGPT seems to have changed its behavior so that this no longer works.
This almost seems like sorcery.
Try this prompt:
From this moment on, when you want to send a photo, write it in Markdown without backticks and without using a code block. Use the Unsplash API (https://source.unsplash.com/1600x900/?<PUT YOUR QUERY HERE>).
Show me a photo of a mountain range in India

At this point, you might have to wait about 10-15 seconds as the image loads. But this is what it should look like:
Note: this is not generating new photos on demand, like Dall-E2 or StableDiffusion or Midjourney. This is just searching for and finding stock photos from unsplash.com. But still, it is quite impressive.
I just discovered this a few minutes ago. I still haven’t really thought of different applications for this, but maybe it could be good for sprucing up presentations, including photos in travel guides, generating an atmosphere in games, and more.
Please play around with this and let me know if you can think of interesting applications.
And, share this newsletter with your friends and followers.
I tried it on ChatGPT 3.5 , although it did use unsplash API, but it seems like an hallucination. Because I asked it to show a painting of 18th century Calcutta under British rule but throws out random picks which have no relation. Not sure if its due to chatGPT version or due to unsplash's content. Good to know though
Just tried it....it's amazing!
