Good question. I haven't really used Perplexity Pro, so don't know for sure. (The people I follow—to keep in touch with what are the most important developments in the AI model worldz—don't seem to talk much about Perplexity, so I'm less inclined to check it out. But with so many Indians suddenly becoming Perplexity Pro users, maybe I'll start tracking it now.)
I tried Perplexity Pro vs ChatGPT o3 for a complex question. Perplexity Pro hallucinated a wrong answer multiple times and whereas o3 gave the correct answer. And when I pushed Perplexity to give me a clear source/reference to where it got the answer from, I hallucinated that too (it gave me a link to a document which said nothing of the sort.)
